Description Symptoms, which are traditionally attributed to chronic venous disease (CVD) include pain, weight, fatigue, feeling of swelling, cramps, itching, tingling, and restless legs. Chronic venous disease is associated with reduced quality of life, particularly in relation to pain, physical function and mobility. It is often associated with depression and social isolation too. In the group of 307 patients, we monitored the occurrence of accompanying symptoms of chronic venous disease: a feeling of heaviness, swelling, burning, needles in the legs, the occurrence of pain in the veins, night cramps and itching. We also observed patients dependability of subjective complaints on static stress, movement, relaxation, heat and hormonal changes.
