Description This article focuses on religiosity of the Czech population with respect to its distribution according to generational criteria. It tries to connect findings from sociology of religion with generational perspective based on sociology of knowledge. The analysis draws on the empirical data from the three waves of European Values Study survey (1991, 1999, 2008) and derives from a basic assumption that religiosity of a person is decisively formed by the social and historical conditions of the era of his/her socialization and, thus, by his/her belonging to a generation in a sociological sense.
