Description The contribution deals with the international criminal law as a branch of law, where an individual becomes a subject of the public international law. In the first part the fundamental characteristics of the International Criminal Court are discussed. The essential content of the article is then the legal analysis of the Review Conference of the Rome Statute that took place in spring 2010 and defined for the purposes of the jurisdiction of the court i. a. the Crime of Aggression. The contribution analyses the definition of this newly accepted crime itself, discusses the positive and negative responses to its reception and evaluates the contribution of the Review Conference to the international criminal justice.
