Description Environmental protection is a collective interest. So-called concerned authorities ("dotčené orgány") act in the the Czech legal order as one of the enforcers and protectors of this collective interest. This article focuses on the analysis, characterization, competences and obligations of these authorities. A part of the contribution is also devoted to the methods of the solving of collective interests' conflicts. The last section concerns the oversight, executed within the framework of the competences of the concerned authorities.
