Description According to T. G. Masaryk the crisis of modern man is a spiritual crisis manifesting itself in a crisis of scholarship (insufficient level of scholarship), religiousness and morality. A solution to the crisis is, according to Masaryk, a modern religion and a new concept of scholarship. Patočka considered human existence to be a life in the world and openness to the world. The elementary forms of life activity are, according to him, life (bodily) movements.
