Description | We present case report and available medical data and standards of practice about pregnant women with anamnesis of stress urinary incontinence (SIU) treated by tension free vaginal tape (TVT) insertion. If SIU is dealt surgically by TVT and the patient becomes pregnant, it is necessary to individually consider ways of delivery. During pregnancy, particularly vaginal delivery could theoretically cause a change in position of tape and deterioration of continence, whose solution is further much more limited. Therefore, consideration of right delivery way is important. Literary data about risk of SUI recurrence during pregnancy and delivery after TVT insertion are very scanty. This paper presents a case of 29-year-old woman with TVT, who delivered vaginally without the recurrence of SUI. This paper further present available data about this issue and suggestions how to deal with these cases. |
