| Description | In the first chapter, electronic textbook deals with an introduction to terminology and describes gradually studied the issue, trying to explain the scientific computing in the current concept. The second chapter is devoted to the history of scientific computing and in the third chapter summarizes the ICT and their applications in biology and biomedicine. The fourth chapter briefly explained the Maple system, which is operated by the Masaryk University in the multilicensing. It describes some of its features and a simple example demonstrates its use for scientific computing in biology. The next three chapters present applications of artificial intelligence, data mining and machine learning methods for biology and biomedicine. |
