| Description | The target of a contribution is mapping the association between children injuries and way of spending the family free time. The research group was based on the European Longitudinal Study of Parenthood and Childhood (ELSPAC). The data from questionnaires submitted to parents were evaluated, concerning the parents themselves and the monitored children. The evaluation being implemented in periods of 18 months, 3, 5, 7 and 11 yerärs of the child age.Two contrast groups of children were established depending on their injury rate. The first group (N=315) included all the children from research group, in which all the data from the periods considered were available and who simultaneously exerted high injury rates. The second group (N=315), who did not suffer any injury, was randomly selected from participating children by the SPSS programme. The results suggested that risk factors include rough plays of children and plays with dangerous objects, leaving the child alone, insufficient parent surveillance and control of child movements, even at higher age of the child. |
