| Description | The objective of the text is to contribute to the discussion of the contemporary new direction in the education that puts emphasis on the learning about phenomenas and problems that go beyond national borders and about their global nature that affects the lives of all of us. Global education includes the support of such skills like understanding the problems from different perspectives, cooperation, responsibility, critical thinking, respect for cultural, ethnic and other differences, combatting prejudices etc. Special part of Global education represents the Global Development Education (GDE). GDE focuses on studying of social, political and cultural processess and conditions that occur in developing countries. GDE promotes active participation in problems solution, accepting responsibility for shapping a more fair and just world, a world where everyone should have equal opportunity to a decent life chances. |
