| Description | The invention deals with aerosol generation for inductively-coupled plasma spectrometry due to irradiation of a sample deposited on carrier with a suitable absorber with a laser beam. Aerosol of analyzed sample generated during consecutive pyrolisis and/or burning is introduced into the spectrometer. The method can be used for determination of metals, such as lead, tin, zinc or cobalt, in a liquids ranging from blood to food. Its advantages are especially low cost, low sample consumption, high speed and easy transport and archiving of samples. |
