Description This paper presents the first results of the analysis of a German as a second language textbook named Deutsch mit Max 2. The analysis was carried out within two dissertation projects and includes two aspects: one of them deals with learning strategies for the language skills development and the other one with visuals for teaching about German speaking countries.
