| Description | - In the presented study we deal with analysis of mental processes that applies when a tested person tries to identify one correct answer from a set of several choices in a performance test. We analyzed selected items from a spatial reasoning subtest of the Learning Potential Test. The sample consisted of 2001 subjects (52 % females). We demonstrated possibilities of polytomous IRT Nominal Categories Model for item construction and analysis, and discussed the benefits of the model for validation of theoretical assumptions about respondents' mental processes. |
