Description The paper deals with the personality of physical education teachers. In the theoretical part it presents a theoretical overview of generally known pieces of knowledge in relation to teacher personality. It presents the results of some research inquiries in this area and emphasizes several conclusions resulting from these inquiries. The research part focuses on research in the area of personality dimensions of a physical education teacher in secondary school and of a high school teacher, regardless of particular subjects he/she teaches. By means of a personality questionnaire, Temperament Test and SPARO Inquiry (System of Basal Psychical Self-Regulation of Personality) we have tested the prevailing temperament type of in the secondary school teachers and we have interpreted altogether 40 personality dimensions. By means of use of statistical methods the author identifies mutual relations between the subjects taught by particular teachers, prevailing temperament type and particular scales of the SPARO test. The results have been processed in tables and charts.
