Description Development on labour market since 1989 respectively 1991 – when the first labour office started to work – is very watched and discussed topic. Nevertheless, discussion concerns still the same – the primarily topics, such as the development of unemployment rate, number of applicants per one vacant work place, etc. On the labour market, however, there are also other topics that deserve attention, which are given by Act no. 435/2004 Coll., on employment. Among mentioned topics can be included: application of older persons on the labour market (this topic will become increasingly important with the planned prolongation of retirement age), foreigners employment (is it needed?), use of flexible forms of employment (in the Czech Republic this is still underestimated) and others. Therefore, the aim of the article is to highlight these topics and propose options to solve these neglected issues.
