Description The article deals with the Austrian researcher in the field of social sciences, Marie Jahoda. She advocated and defended the interests of social democracy during her life. She is a coauthor of the well-known sociological study "The Unemployed from Marienthal" published in 1933. Towards the end of her life she worked as a social psychology professor at the University of Sussex in Great Britain.
