Description From a clinical point of view the most important phenomena of suppression, retinal rivalry, and visual dichoptic masking, along with the motion-induced blindness and suppression of lightning to the group multistabile perception. For all psychophysical phenomena appointed with suppression is a common manifestation of fluctuating presence of two images in the visual consciousness, while the retina is stimulated with a single stable visual stimulus. Authors describe in detail theoretically retinal rivalry, dichoptic and visual masking and suppression optical illusions.
