Marek Nekula

Marek Nekula is a leading figure in the fields of Czech and German studies. He is the director of the Bohemicum Center for Czech Studies at the University of Regensburg, where he has long focused on Czech-German linguistic, literary, and cultural relations.

A proposal to grant an honorary degree of Doctor Honoris Causa in the field of Philological Sciences was submitted by the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University. The graduation ceremony was held on 15 October 2026. A brochure introducing the nominee was issued on the occasion of the awarding of this honorary doctorate.
