Dutch - language and realities (in Czech)

The course will focus on Dutch in everyday communication and at the same time provide a historical-cultural overview of Dutch-speaking countries. In the series of lectures, the participants will learn about topics related to the Netherlands and Belgium (geography, political situation, climate protection policy, foreign policy, Benelux and the relationship with the EU). They will also focus on the position of the monarchy in both countries and will also focus on the ??culture – they will get to know important tourist destinations, monuments, visual arts, architecture, music and dance. Last but not least, the course will introduce literature written in Dutch in translations and bring to light the reception of Dutch literature in the Czech Republic. People who, within the labor market, focus on companies that work closely with the Netherlands and Belgium. Furthermore, students of any field who want to study in the Netherlands, because in addition to the basics of the language, they will also get to know the realities of Dutch-speaking countries.

What you will learn

Graduates of the course will learn to handle basic communication situations in Dutch. They will also learn basic knowledge about Dutch-speaking countries.

Employment prospects

Possible employment in companies and institutions that have ties to  the Netherlands or Belgium in areas such as  education, tourism, economics, law, international relations or medicine.

1) Application submission

Admission to the course depends on the submission of the application within the set capacity of the course.

2) Payment of the fee

After the collection of applications is completed, applicants will be contacted according to the order of submission and will receive instructions for paying for the course. If the fee is not paid within the set deadline, the place will be offered to the next applicant on the list.

3) Enrollment in the course

After payment of the fee, distance enrollment in the course will take place. All administrative tasks can be done online.

There is no entry education requirement. Course capacity is limited to max. 15 participants.
