Swedish language and culture (in Czech)

The course focuses primarily on teaching practical language for everyday life. The language topics are then supplemented with information  about realia and a comparison of the socio-cultural context in the Czech Republic and Sweden. Students will learn basic grammar, phrases and vocabulary for selected topics so that they are able to navigate basic communication situations. The course is intended for the general public, for example graduates of various fields who want to focus on Sweden in their professional lives. This may include areas such as tourism, economics, law, international relations, medicine, etc. In addition to teaching Swedish, the course also aims to introduce students to realia that are of key importance for understanding and gaining insight into contemporary Swedish society.

About course

What you will learn

Participants will master the basics of Swedish pronunciation and grammar. They will learn to handle simple communication situations at the A1-A2 level and become familiar with selected realia and cultural specifics of Sweden.

Employment prospects

Possible employment in companies and institutions that have ties to Sweden in areas such as  education, tourism, economics, law, international relations or medicine.

1) Application submission


Admission to the course depends on the submission of the application within the set capacity of the course.

2) Payment of the fee

After the collection of applications is completed, applicants will be contacted according to the order of submission and will receive instructions for paying for the course. If the fee is not paid within the set deadline, the place will be offered to the next applicant on the list.

3) Enrollment in the course

After payment of the fee, distance enrollment in the course will take place. All administrative tasks can be done online.

There is no entry education requirement. Course capacity is limited to max. 15 participants.
