Alumni e-card with MU libraries registration

The UČO (user identification number) is a unique identifier assigned to every student, employee, or graduate within Masaryk University's Information System. It has been generated for all graduates since 1919, so every alumni has one. You can find yours by logging into the Community Network in the Information System, where you can verify, update, and reactivate the record of your completed studies stored in the database.

The Community Network is the university’s internal social platform. Its main feed features updates from across the university, invitations to events, information about lifelong learning courses and more. To access the Community Network from the IS Main Page, look for the section titled Community.

As a student or employee of MU, you’re entitled to free library registration for the entire duration of your studies or employment. You can register here.

No, your downloaded e-card remains valid indefinitely. The only exception is library registration. If you don’t use library services within approximately 12 months of downloading your e-card, your registration will be cancelled and your personal data removed from the library database. You can easily restore access by downloading the alumni e-card again.

Feel free to download a new e-card to your new phone. The previous version will be automatically deactivated once the new one is installed. Thanks to the e-card being linked to your unique UČO identifier, all your previous settings and access remain valid.

This situation occurs if you haven’t used library services for approximately the past 12 months. For data protection reasons, inactive accounts are automatically deactivated at regular intervals. You can restore your library access at any time by downloading a new alumni e-card.

Partially – some limitations apply in external partner e-shops where discounts require registration with an @muni.cz email address. Access to your university email address becomes available only after completing a second level of verification.

The easiest way to stay updated on new benefits is by subscribing to the alumni newsletter. You can sign up by adjusting your consent settings in IS to allow emails from Masaryk University (don’t forget to set up email forwarding to your primary inbox), or by subscribing directly using your email address. All updates will be shared in the newsletter. The current list of benefits is always available in the overview.

Even if you already know your UČO and have set a password in the Community Network, you may be prompted to complete a second level of verification by uploading a photo or a scan of your diploma. This higher level of verification gives you access to extended services, such as an @muni.cz email address, which can be used to register for discounts with partner e-shops. You can, of course, forward this address to your primary inbox.
Additionally, diploma verification enables access to services like a cloud storage platform for large files and the ability to view current study materials from selected fields.

If you graduated after 2010, please contact the Study Department of your faculty to request a duplicate of your university diploma. Graduates from 2010 or earlier can request a duplicate electronically through the Masaryk University Archive.
