Open Day 2025: Number of registrations increased by 9 percent
This year´s Open Day offered an expanded programme across all ten faculties of Masaryk University, as well as two workshops. A total of 3,500 prospective students registered.

MU students from Taiwan and Ecuador became best friends
Each of them comes from a different continent and culture, but ever since Yu-Jou Sheu from Taiwan and Alisson Curimilma from Ecuador met at Masaryk University, they have become inseparable friends. The two students are always together not only at school, but also in their free time and during their teacher training.

First-year students to move to Kounicova dormitories in 6 months
The two-year refurbishment of the Kounicova dormitories, which will soon be completed, will bring a complete transformation of the interior, greater comfort and improved accessibility of the building for people with special needs.

MU offers new English-language study programmes
More than 1,600 international students study at Masaryk University in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in foreign languages. The range of these programmes is constantly expanding: a new one was introduced at the Faculty of Science in September, and three more will start in the next academic year at the Faculty of Economics and Administration and the Faculty of Science.

Admission requirements
Applicants are admitted on the basis of a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant's motivation and language skills. Applicants are asked to submit:
- CV
- cover letter
- certificate of proficiency in English
- a document certifying completion of secondary education/bachelor's programme
- online interview
