International Public Reading of Sophocles

After a two-year break, this year the Department of Classical Studies will once again physically join the worldwide public reading of works by Greek and Latin authors. This year, the program will feature Sophocles' Oedipus Rex. The reading will also be streamed online.

Exhibition of Jaroslav Pulicar: East of Brno

The exhibition East of Brno will present twenty black-and-white photographs by the Brno-based artist Jaroslav Pulicar. The selection will include photographs from Ukraine, Romania, Poland, and other countries, and the opening will include a commented projection of photographs where Pulicar will present his photographic methods and experiences from his travels. The exhibition will run until 31 May, during which time it will be complemented by other accompanying events in support of Ukraine, including readings, debates, and lectures.
