MU-ICS Newsletter (published since March 1991 in 5 issues per year) is an information bulletin for people interested in computer technologies. Originally, the Newsletter was intended for creative people at Masaryk University aiming at:

• informing and influencing the University public in the direction of conceiving information technologies development at MU from both short-term and long-term perspectives,
• providing practical information, schemes, and advice concerning the use of existing hardware and software equipment at MU.

The community of MU-ICS Newsletter readers has gradually attracted scientific and pedagogical staff from other Universities and scientific institutions from various places of the Czech Republic. The aim of the project is to obtain additional funding to that provided for publishing the Newsletter in 1993 from MU annual budget thus increasing both the content and formal levels of the Newsletter and ensuring its availability to anybody interested.

Results

Five issues of the Newsletter in 1993: Nos. 3-5 of Vol.IV in January - June, Nos. 1-2 of Vol.V in September - November. Copies were distributed free of charge to all interested readers (460 registered persons in total, 100 of them external people from other universities/institutions).
