The objective of project is identification of economically advantegeous industrial clusters within promising industries as a case study within the south Moravina region. The core of the research is to design a new metod, which joins quantitative and qualitative techniques and which enables us to specify developing industries in certain region. In other words, this method makes identification of promising industrial cluster easier. The designed method will be utilized for finding industrials clusters in the south Moravian region. The exact knowledge of clusters is a basic condition for institutions dealing with regional development and defining regional policy, when they want to state their strategic goals, when they want to enforce and stimulate the local and foreign firms, which are useful for the region in mid- and long-term period.
