The project is designed as a development of the instruction of the European Studies at the Masaryk University. Its goal is to enrich the offer of lectures with practical discussion courses which will enable the lecturers to apply new teaching methods, will ensure individual approach to students and will also develop academic debate on the main problems of the European integration. The project encompasses three updated and two new courses. The courses are based on seminars, use of electronic teaching support tools and also contain training of practical skills. They focus on institutional questions including Lisbon treaty and a future of the constitutional elements in the development of the European Union. The course will lead to a portfolio of student materials of particular courses, new study literature as well as JMP-promoting outcomes in academic settings (a website and a brochure). The project will result in an increase in ability of students of the European Studies field and other disciplines to hold academic discussion on current affairs in the EU and strengthening of their civil competencies in relation to the supranational structure.
