The project is aimed at the development of a new course entitled "Introduction to Foreign Language Methodology" in the language teacher education study programmes. The new course reflects new principles, aims and objectives, methods and approaches, and content of language teaching formulated in the recent documents published within the European context (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)as well as in fundamental Czech educational documents (Framework educational programme).
