Project title: Mechanosensing in neural crest derivatives and association with melanoma
This study aims to elucidate how mechanosensation influences tissue development and morphogenesis in neural crest-derivatives, with particular focus on its implications in melanoma.
Mechanosensation plays a vital role in cellular function and tissue development, and since neural crest cells give rise to diverse cell types like melanocytes and glial cells, understanding how mechanosensory pathways affect these cells can offer valuable insights into developmental and cancer biology, particularly in relation to melanoma.
This project will enhance the understanding of the mechanisms underlying tissue morphogenesis and the role of mechanosensation in developmental biology.
