Projekt specifického výzkumu na katedře anglistiky a amerikanistiky zahrnuje činnost čtyř sekcí - jazykovědné, literárněvedné, translatologické a sekce metodologie ELT. Projekt směřuje k podpoře studentské odborné činnosti na doktorské i magisterské úrovni pod vedením akademických pracovníků v několika hlavních směrech - sociopragmatické analýze soukromých i veřejných diskurzů, aplikované jazykovědy a translatologie na straně jedné a anglofonních literatur a kulturních studií v severoamerickém areálu a starší britské literatury na straně druhé. Projekt spadá do dlouhodobého výzkumného profilu pracoviště a plní dlouhodobý cíl podpory excelence a internacionalizace výzkumného týmu.
