In the short term, the project will facilitate the completion of ongoing studies in collaboration with WIFO and the development of new research directions in the field of social capital. A key objective is to examine the impact of motherhood and parental leave on the accumulation of social capital and its effects on women’s labor market outcomes and political participation. The project employs a combination of natural experiments analysis and survey experiments. The results aim to contribute to international research on gender aspects of social capital and lay the groundwork for future external grant applications.
