This project evaluates the early effects of the Slovak hospital network optimization reform on patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regional healthcare accessibility. The Slovak reform provides a crucial natural experiment for studying the consequences of large-scale healthcare restructuring. Using advanced econometric methods, including Difference-in-Differences (DiD) and panel data techniques, the project will analyze the spatial and temporal impacts on key health and economic indicators. This research constitutes a core chapter of my doctoral dissertation.
