The EMBRACE project aims to develop a sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly electrocatalytic process for BC removal in marine environments. Aligned with the scope of Subtopic 1, the project centers on the design and deployment of advanced inorganic materials that fulfill dual functions within electrochemical systems: (i) direct CO₂ removal from seawater, and (ii) active contribution to the remediation and restoration of ocean health through the protection and enhancement of BC ecosystems, thereby supporting their long-term resilience and ecological function.
