The European AI Assistant for Systemic Health Insights from Oral Data (MYDIAG.AI)

The overall objective of MYDIAG.AI is to develop and demonstrate a reliable, easy-to-use virtual assistant based on Generative AI and Large Language Models that links oral health data and systemic health data and makes them accessible to both dental and medical care specialists. This will empower oral healthcare practitioners to early detect patients at risk for systemic diseases being of significant value as dental check-ups are more common than medical check-ups. By leveraging data obtained from routine dental check-ups, the assistant targets early identification of critical conditions such as osteoporosis, coronary heart disease and oral cancer, aiming to reduce related mortality by over 50% and treatment costs by more than 20%.
