Description The foreign polonistics has today character of the integrated studies on Poland. The basic of this field of study and at the same time its integration element is always the philology, especially linguistic polonistics. The strong element of the Czech linguistic polonistics is comparative study of Polish language and Czech language, the tradition of which has reached as far as to the first half of the 19 century. As the beginning of this approach there can be found the works of Václav Hanka Mluvnice polského jazyka podle Dobrovského. It can be considered as the first really scientific processing the foundations of the Polish grammar which moreover contains contrastive treatise on the Czech and Polish language systems. The contemporary researchers have at their disposals methodologically dealt works of V. Skalička on the language typology and also many works from the branch of the synchronic comparative linguistics, among others polonists J. Damborský and E. Lotko. The published studies were most often focused on the field of phonetics, flection, lexicon, phraseology or word-formation. There has been some processing still the problematics of morphological categories, valence, pragmatic factors of communication or structure of text and discourse. Even if the comparative linguistics is above all the scientic discipline, it is possible to apply successfully in the education of future philologists, translators and interpreters.
