Description Theoretical concept of diagnostic process and intervention in gestalt therapy based on dynamic movement in the frame of polarities is presented in the article. The movement has two phases: diagnostic process and intervention. In the first one the therapist moves between phenomenological observation (pole one) and following the own therapist's experiencing which is the function of relationship. In the second phase therapist moves between authentic "being together" (a dialogical principle) and approaching where therapeutic situation is modified by therapist's own means (an experimental approach). The "umbrella principle" is the paradoxical theory of change. Therapist's competence which includes creativity, flexibility and "himself awareness ability" is emphasized. A clinical vignette is added.
