| Description | The article focuses on three Brno villas built according to the design of Vladimír Fischer (1870-1947), i.e.: 1) the villa of businessman Konrád Vichr in Mokrá Hora in 58, Tumaňanova Street, built between 1917 and 1919. 2) the villa of lawyer and politician JUDr. Hynek Bulín in Brno-Pisárky in 8, Květná Street, from the years 1924 and 1925, 3) the Pisárky house of trader in coffee and general merchandise František Osvald in 114, Hlinky Street, rebuilt 1926. Late historicism and Art Nouveau (only in Vichr's villa, in a limited way), neoclassicism, and purism were applied in the conception of style of these three constructions. Purist conception, obviously inspired by Adolf Loos, prevails in Osvald's villa, where the architect dispensed with his artistic co-workers (painter Jano Köhler, sculptor Václav Hynek Mach) services. |
