| Description | Th e paper gives an overview of identifi cation possibilities of limestones source used for lime burning in the Břeclav-Pohansko archaeological site based on their chemical composition and comparison with mortars. Limestones from three sites were examined: Skalica, Holíč, Hlohovec and Pálava hill. Th e chemical compositions of limestones were compared with composition of mortars and thermally undecomposed limestones from mortars. Hlohovec was excluded as a source site based on the results. |
