| Description | The author offers a similar theme although approached from a different angle. He asks how much the story of the Byzantine brothers was a meaningfully layered sequence of events and how much it consisted of more or less random deeds. At the same time he arrives at the conclusion that the work of both brothers always stemmed from a recognition of Rome s supremacy over the area where they operated; he also reflects on the character of Methodius s archbishopric and its possible seat. |
