Description The chapter focuses on reading strategies of deaf learners of foreign languages. In the first part, reading strategies are definied in a broader context of literacy and foreign language teaching while keeping in mind the target group. The second part consists in a summary of the present state of knowledge in the field of reading comprehension and strategies instruction.
