Description The study is partly a critical review of the most known and the most consistent work of Richard Rorty - "Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature". In second part of the study, the author analyzes it and interprets its main structural points as that of genealogical stress on contingency of the modern conception of representation theory, of explanation of primacy epistemology over ontology in the modern philosophy, of deconstruction of this approach and of his proposal of a new function of philosophy. In the next part, the author shows inconsitencies of Rorty-s whole work - especially, that in spite of his anti-representationalism, we can find deep roots of the early modern thinking in his texts.
