| Description | The article deals with relationship beween retail development and the transition of urban functional and social structures. The changes of retail network are considered as a set of indicative processes with heterogenous spatial differentiation reflecting different transitional dynamic of particular urban zones and places. Empirical part of the text is based on retail surveys conducted between 1997 and 2009 in the city of Brno. |
