| Description | We are now for more than two years witnessing in Syria conflict that has got more than 70 000 of victims. This conflict has got roots in “Arab Spring” that has changes political map of the Middle East. First demonstrations have appeared in Syria in March 2011. Firstly peaceful demonstrations have turned (also because of violent reaction of regime) into civil war with sectarian elements. This paper is dealing with Syrian opposition that is composed by many groups and that is opposing Baath regime ruling since 1960s. Introduced are most important groups as is National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, or Syrian National Council, together with armed opposition forces as is Free Syrian Army or militant Islamists like Jabhat al-Nusra. Militant Islamists movements are introduced in special section as well. |
