Description The main purpose of the study was to examine the impact of parent-child and peer relationships on the occurrence of symptoms of depression in early adolescence, as well as the level of key components of adolescent self-esteem. Our results are in agreement with previous research findings which demonstrate different impact of parent-child and peer relationships on self-esteem in adolescents, as well as important associations with depressive symptoms in this age.
