| Description | EPOSS (Data-based Evaluation and Prediction of Outcome in Severe Sepsis) & SEPSIS-Q are research projects aimed on development of a database for parametric monitoring of patients with severe sepsis and mapping of sepsis epidemiology in the Czech Republic, as well as on assessment and improvement of quality of care provided to patients treated for severe sepsis. Technical solution of the projects EPOSS & SEPSIS-Q in 2011-2012 included the design, development and pilot deployment of the following four components. 1. Data acquisition multicentric system - research database EPOSS, 2. Information website eposs.registry.cz with on-line generated graphs, 3. Educational portal www.sepsis-q.cz equipped with a communication interface to the system EPOSS and 4. Advanced interactive player of educational clinical scenarios of severe sepsis cases. A common data access management and communication interfaces were used to mash up the four components into the final ICT infrastructure. |
