| Description | Neogene deposits of the Carpathian Foredeep were newly studied in the sedimentary succession from drill hole Brus 1. They represent the deposits of coastal and shallow marine environments. The drill core was divided into two facies associations – lower silty one and upper carbonate one. The deposition of the upper carbonate facies association (Lower Badenian) is connected with reduction of siliciclastic input. |
