Description The study presents the results of an empiric sociologic survey of the audience at the International Music Festival Moravian Autumn in Brno 2013. The quantitative survey was performed on a selected group of 1077 visitors. Besides the description of basic demographic indicators, a more detailed analysis was performed to identify the specifics differentiating the festival visitors from the traditional audience of the organizing cultural institution. Attention was also paid to the aspects belonging to the field of the music preference research. The data existing from the surveys of the audience at the concerts of the Brno Philharmonic and the audience at the opera festival Janáček Brno 2012 were used for comparing.
