Description Chapter 8 summarizes the main findings of the FLOWS project and relates them to suggestions for policy changes, which bear the potential to reduce the identified barriers for women’s labour market participation. The authors’ suggestions aim not only at helping caring mothers, grandmothers and daughters to achieve a better work/life/care balance and to strengthen their labour market position in the given situation, but go also a step further. That is, they also present possibilities which potentially contribute to a degendering of informal care work and hence to a more equal distribution of informal care work between men and women.
