| Description | At the end of the year 2012, the European Commission adopted a recast of the 1st railway package and, at the beginning of 2013, a proposal of the 4th railway package was enacted. These two steps are important milestones in an ongoing process of European railways liberalization. The aim of this paper is to identify the most important points of the recast of the 1st railway package and of the proposal of the 4th railway package. Moreover, there are also analysed attitudes to the proposal of the 4th railway package in the text. We analyse attitudes and opinions of involved institutions such as railway operators, infrastructure managers etc., especially to the so called technical pillar. |
