| Description | The invention deals with aerosol generation for inductively-coupled plasma spectrometry due to irradiation of a sample deposited on a suitable substrate with a laser beam. Aerosol of analyzed sample generated during subsequent ablation of the substrate is introduced into the spectrometer. The method can be used for determination of metals in a range of liquid samples. Its advantages are especially low cost, low sample consumption, high speed and easy transport and archiving of samples. |
