| Description | As demonstrated by the contemporary texts of Hippocrates and Galen from the period of ancient Greece and Rome, the principle of "the right treatment to the right patient" in medicine is practiced for millennia, though always in the context of knowledge, technical capabilities and philosophical thinking of the time. However, until the current degree of knowledge about the etiopathogenesis of human diseases and technical sophistication with which they are closely related diagnostic and therapeutic options, allow us to individualize care in relation to individual patients and their diseases to the extent that the concept of personalized medicine already represents a true multidisciplinary approach. |
