Description The practice of listening with eyes has a remarkably long tradition. In Western tradition of notated music we can trace this tendency back at least to the 16th century. Usage of musical figures, extramusical references leading to literature or fine art or even drawing with melodic lines could be considered as a common tendency of this practice. Music history after intermedial and multimedial traditions of the 20th century is nowadays heading towards code based performance. The crucial question is as follows: Is that music, notation or process of creation which is being performed? And, secondly, who is the performer and who is the audience comprised of?
